Plans originally envisaged that the site of Phase 3 could be developed as apartment blocks, which was partly to deal with the flood risk issues which were believed to exist on this part of the site. However further flood modelling has confirmed that any potential flood risk on the site can be managed and that houses are safe to build. As a result, the amended planning application seeks to deliver a third phase of housing which will remain in-keeping with the earlier phases of the scheme.
